Room for Memory, 2014

i enter my room with anticipation of familiarity
filtered sunlight changes the colour of my walls
slowly i move through the space
i stand still and transgress through time
my childhood window appears weathered and aged with use
a portal of flight
i hear the wind dance with the leaves on the tree in the backyard
a commanding presence
i wonder if its still there?
a helicopter interrupts my mental gaze i am parachuted to the present
the filtered sunlight has changed the colour of my walls
i stand still and transgress through time
