absence is a collection of images set within my bedroom that focuses on what is seen, what is hidden and what desires to come into view. A room represents the passage from one state or condition to another and commands the presence of time. In this body of work, I examine transitional moments conceptually related to home, such as: arrival and departure, opening and closing, concealment and disclosure, absence and presence – all of which define a boundary between the interior and exterior.
